At four years old, Everleigh was diagnosed with epilepsy. Our family suddenly found ourselves learning about seizures, medications, hospital stays and a new kind of normal. Through it all, Everleigh remained exactly who she has always been—funny, fearless, independent and full of sparkle.

We began calling her seizures her “brain sparkles,” a phrase that helped turn something frightening into something she could understand in her own little way.

Then Maci Mae entered our story. Maci is training to become Everleigh’s seizure-response and alert service dog, with the hope that one day she will give Everleigh something epilepsy has taken pieces of: independence.

Somewhere along the way, the idea for Sparkles & Paws was born.

We imagined a happy little shop filled with clothes and accessories kids love, fun finds parents love, and something we rarely saw anywhere else—adorable pieces for the four-legged best friends who are part of the family too. Sometimes they even match.

Sparkles & Paws is our celebration of childhood, courage, companionship and the belief that even when life looks a little different than we planned, there is still so much joy to be found.

Every kid deserves a little sparkle. Every best friend deserves a few paws. And sometimes, the very best stories have both. ✨🐾
